I remember standing
At the edge of the world
As it shook and crumbled
At my feet
Mother Nature's violence
As she fights back
Screaming for
Survival
And the fear
Spread like plague
And the cries
Rang out
Like the mission bells
And then silence eerie silence
That disquiets the heart and soul.
Suffering, frustration
And questions
Replacing faith
Why
