Harbinger of spring
River swells
Rushing from their source
Thundering down
The winding corridor
Soothing to the restless soul.

Ice jams with white caps
Bubbling up to the surface
Jumping
Here and there and everywherre
As if to say
" Quick!Out of our way!
We're on a deadline
we need to get there!"
